Jake Rudegeair, born on the desolate outskirts of Boston MA (Newton) has been practicing art since he chose the pen over the sword as an infant. After studying philosophy at Hamline University,  Jake began pursuing a career as an illustrator and comic artist. He works with a wide range of media to bring worlds alive on paper, and is interested in the deep humanistic drives that demand the story be told. He hopes to build a collection of works that honor the traditions of Lichtenstein, Van Allsburg, Ungerer, Mœbius, O'Keeffe, Kirby and other art gods who have told complex stories with visual languages. He currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota with his wife Laurel.
